Boulder Bear
Boulders are rolling down the mountain, and one brave teddy bear is standing right in their way. Dodge them, jump them, or hop on top and ride them. How long can you keep the bear in one piece?
About the game
Boulder Bear is a free arcade runner you play in your browser. Your teddy stands at the foot of a mountain with three hiking trails in front of it, and everything comes tumbling down toward you: single boulders, long rumbling trains of them, rolling logs, wooden gates sliding down on runners, and giant boulders big enough to block two trails, or even all three. The pace picks up the longer you survive, then levels off, so the game gets harder without ever becoming impossible.
How to play
- Change trails to get out of the way.
- Jump over single boulders and rolling logs.
- Duck to slip under wooden gates. Watch for the striped board.
- Ride a train: boulder trains are too long to jump over, but you can land on top and run along them. Some are very long.
- Climb the giants: a giant boulder is too tall to jump onto from the ground. Land on a normal boulder train first, then jump again. The biggest boulders cover all three trails, and the only way past is up: train, giant, then the colossus.
- Your score grows the longer you survive, with bonus points for every boulder that rolls past. Giants are worth extra.

Tips
- Only the front of a train can knock you over. Land anywhere along its top and you're safe.
- Logs roll too low to duck under, and gates hang too low to jump. Know which is which.
- Swiping down in mid-air drops you fast and ducks as you land.
- Press jump just before you land and the bear jumps again the moment it touches down.
- Giants always come with a boulder train to climb from, in front of them or alongside.
- Listen for the rumble: it gets louder as boulders get close.
